Bio

Melanie Lieb is a visual artist working in multiple medias which include painting, jewelry, sculpture, ceramic and installation. Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago IL, after high school Melanie studied at The Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design and then transferred to The School of the Art institute of Chicago where she focused on painting and drawing. Melanie has been involved in many group and solo exhibitions with her art and jewelry over the years in several states including Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Hawaii, and New Mexico and now Idaho and Washington. Melanie has resided in Spokane WA since 2014 and has been included in shows with Terrain, Artfest, Bazaar, Art on the green, Art and glass, Little Spokane river artist studio tour, Art on the blacktop, The Spokane woman’s club,  The Liberty Gallery, Hatch, Object space, Kolva-Sullivan Gallery, Spokane art school and The Saranac Art-projects, New Moon Gallery among other local venues and is currently a member at Pottery Place Plus a member owned artist cooperative in downtown Spokane. Aside from displaying her artwork and jewelry, Melanie also teaches copper enameling workshops in many venues throughout eastern WA, ID and MT. Melanie has had artist profiles written in the Spokesman review,Inlander, Spokane Coeur d’Alene living magazine and Spokane Faith and Values as well as speaking on Art Hour a local radio arts showcase focused on the Spokane art community. 

Melanie is currently focused on creating complete conceptual environments using many different medias in order to completely engulf the viewer.
